A Baltimore Wedding: Ashley and Evan

Jennifer Domenick Photograph

This lovely couple had a very elegant and beautiful wedding at the Radisson Lord Baltimore with the expertise of top Baltimore co-ordinator Elizabeth Bailey. Florists from Romance of Flowers created a very romantic and elegant setting at the hotel and Tony Berry and New Money played to a full house through the night. Ashley and Evan have a lot of friends, and thus a large wedding party and a large wedding. They all seemed to really have a blast! Congrats to Ashley and Evan!

Elizabeth and Matt, a romantic wedding at River Farm

Jennifer Domenick

Elizabeth had a hand in styling her own wedding, as she should because she works in the fashion industry in NYC. Her vision of a woodland-inspired wedding was realized and complimented by River Farm's amazing setting. The day-of logistics were taken care of by the fabulous Carol Marino. I'll have to get back to you with the details on the dress designer and shoes...they were amazing!

UPDATE!!!: THE SHOES ARE CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN AND THE DRESS IS VERA WANG. (THANK YOU ELIZABETH)

I promise to get the designer's name.....

I love this, all the girls wore different dresses:

One little shaft of light int he ceremony can make for some amazing photos:

Great idea!!!: kid's table with bubbles, pinwheels, coloring books.

They match the shoes!

Again:

Inspiration and other reasons for shooting engagement photos

I was reminded of the reasons why I included an engagement session as part of full wedding coverage on Wednesday. Erin and Chris are having an amazing wedding in about a month and they are very excited about it. Now I am too because I've had a chance to get to know them and I have seen how they are in front of the camera, so I'm ready. Plus, now I know their love story and I have some insight. These are all very helpful things in making good pictures, believe it or not. It's not just how I use my camera. It's sooo much more. Thanks Chris and Erin for giving me this window. You have inspired me!

Catherine and Mike in Old Town, Alexandria

Jennifer Domenick Wedding Photography

I've been relatively lucky this year with the weather. While I know it can be a heart-wrenching worry for the couples who often are thinking a year in advance about the weather on their wedding day, I also worry and do little anti-rain dances in my head. This year has been so rainy and for the most part, we've been dodging rain clouds all spring. Catherine and Mike were lucky enough to have the rain work itself into their timeline by waiting until they were inside for their reception. Phew! And so, because it was nice, even overcast light for their wedding, it made for lovely photos. This couple was married in the morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Alexandria and then we headed over to Lee Street in Alexandria to make some quiet photos of the B&G. The reception, held at the Hilton . Their DJ, Aaron Couch, rocked them out for their late-lunch reception and I have to tell you that that does not happen often. Congrats to Catherine and Mike.

Betty - Jennifer, you captured the love of Catherine and Mike. My favorite is when I am holding Catherine's dress at the elevator. Thank you so much. You are a true artist!! (2009-05-27 17:56:19)
Leyla - Loved the emotion that these captured. (2009-05-27 17:58:22)
Elizabeth - Amazing photos, each one is better than the last! (2009-05-27 18:17:28)
Michelle - The one with the altar server yawning is a classic. LOL. I love the rest. When will there be a link so we can buy photos?? (esp. for those of us who are retarded at photos...) Thanks (2009-05-27 19:27:06)
Gary & Debbie - We are very pleased. Mike told us you were great. (2009-05-27 19:29:15)
Taylor Duffy - These are honestly the most incredible wedding photos I have ever seen! Each one is more beautiful than the last and they all look like they must be from a fantastic editorial in Vogue or Town & Country! It's so exciting when I remember that it actually happened, and that I was lucky enough to be there! I can't possibly describe how perfectly these capture what an amazing, fun, and wonderful day it was, and I am just blown away by how spectacular these photos are! (2009-05-27 20:09:47)
Stephanie - Catherine, these are GORGEOUS -- you picked an awesome photographer, she really did an incredible job!!! Of course, her subjects weren't exactly hard on the eyes to begin with! I can't wait to see the rest! (2009-05-27 20:20:57)

Uncle Paul - These are astonishing. I particularly like the silhouette shots and while I enjoy the pictures of my children and grandchildren, my favorite is the yawning altar boy (or altar young man.) great work (2009-05-28 11:37:04)
Uncle Paul - By the way, this is a great website. Other ones I have seen only provided thumbnails. To see a full size picture is so much more dramatic (2009-05-28 11:38:14)
Stephanie F - What wonderful pictures--you both look stunning! Congrats again! (2009-05-28 12:01:01)
Vinny Conlon - I like the one of Catherine leaping into Mike's arms between the two sets of blue shutters. (2009-05-28 13:35:30)
Kimberly - Stunning. Wordsworth wrote, "There are in our existence spots of time, that with distinct preeminence retain a renovating virtue . . . and our minds are nourished and invisibly repaired." (The Prelude) Your photos capture so many "spots of time" that you must just be feasting! And you shall for decades to come. Congratulations! (2009-05-28 14:28:53)
Uncle Paul - The pictures are wonderful. The silhouette pictures would be my favorite. They would even s`core above the shots of my grandkids but for the yawning altar boy. I also love this website. So often you only get thumbnails and can't get the full impact of the pictue. Great work. (2009-05-28 17:17:37)
Cousin Sandra - Breathe taking photos captured this breathe taken event. Wonderful memories that will last a life time! It was an honor to be a guest and share in this beautiful day. The pictures speak volumes! (2009-05-28 17:25:57)

Ryann and Eric: A Virginia wedding at Woodlawn

Jennifer Domenick

Ryann and Eric don't get to spend a lot of time together. They are often traveling for their jobs and find themselves all over the world, so when they were married last week at Woodlawn with all their friends and family in attendance, it was a lovely moment for them. Congrats to them!

A belated Happy Mother's Day for two very special new moms

Tiffany and Jen have been friends of ours (my husband Ethan and I) for a long time. We've been lucky to celebrate many milestones with them, but this one is particularly special. Jen and Tiffany are new moms and when I say I couldn't be happier for them, it's an understatement. Welcome to this world, Sophie. You have some wonderful moms.

Holly and Bruce in Baltimore

Jennifer Domenick Wedding Photography

Holly and Bruce escaped the rain, but the crowds at Mt. Vernon Square in Baltimore were not kept away. They had fun, though walking through the crowd. Their lovely wedding was held at Chase Court, which is one of Baltimore's classic wedding locations. They had a perfect day for their wedding, which had splashes of vintage items thrown into the mix. Enjoy!

Anna and Denis at Dumbarton Manor

Jennifer Domenick

Anna and Denis had a classic Georgetown wedding on April 25th with the help of Katie Martin and her staff of Elegance and Simplicity. The couple was married in the charming historic Epiphany Parish, which was only blocks from Dumbarton House, where guests were greeted with raspberry mojitos from Design Cuisine. Congrats to the fabulous couple!
