Erin and Chris: A fabulous wedding at Decatur House

Jennifer Domenick

I'm just as excited to share Erin and Chris's wedding photos with you as I was to share their engagement photos. Because their wedding was equally as fabulous as their engagement and I'm still very inspired by this couple. They had help putting it all together from some fabulous vendors including Katie Martin of Elegance and Simplicity and Design Cuisine. The ceremony was held at St. John's Church which was steps away from their reception site, the Decatur House. I've always seen the church when I shot weddings at the Decatur House and thought it would be an ideal spot for a wedding, but sadly they do not allow photos during their ceremony, even though we were able to be discreet enough to sneak a couple of photos from the balcony while the organs were playing. Chris and Erin were very excited about the band they had playing for them, Full Effect, and I can tell you from first hand experience that they were AMAZING! Best of luck to you- it was awesome to work with you Erin and Chris!

Ned Jackson - Jennifer - I enjoy looking at your work almost as much as I enjoyed hanging out with you down on the Cape. Hopefully we'll stay in touch and get to hang out again soon! (2009-08-11 17:11:51)

Julia and Brian: An Oxon Hill Wedding

Jennifer DomenickJulia and Brian were married on a Friday, which is really smart because not only can couples get discounted rates for Friday weddings, but it also leaves the entire weekend to be with family and friends who have come in from all over the country. Julia and Brian put together their fabulous wedding with help from Raquel Shutt (and her fabulous staff) of Wedding Savvy. The ceremony and reception were held at a the lovely Oxon Hill Manor in Prince George's County. I'm totally convinced that Prince George's County has some of the best historic homes for weddings. Julia and Brian allowed for plenty of time in their timeline to have some fun photos done in Alexandria beforehand, so we went exploring...
