Elizabeth and Matt, a romantic wedding at River Farm

Jennifer Domenick

Elizabeth had a hand in styling her own wedding, as she should because she works in the fashion industry in NYC. Her vision of a woodland-inspired wedding was realized and complimented by River Farm's amazing setting. The day-of logistics were taken care of by the fabulous Carol Marino. I'll have to get back to you with the details on the dress designer and shoes...they were amazing!

UPDATE!!!: THE SHOES ARE CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN AND THE DRESS IS VERA WANG. (THANK YOU ELIZABETH)

I promise to get the designer's name.....

I love this, all the girls wore different dresses:

One little shaft of light int he ceremony can make for some amazing photos:

Great idea!!!: kid's table with bubbles, pinwheels, coloring books.

They match the shoes!

Again:

Catherine and Mike in Old Town, Alexandria

Jennifer Domenick Wedding Photography

I've been relatively lucky this year with the weather. While I know it can be a heart-wrenching worry for the couples who often are thinking a year in advance about the weather on their wedding day, I also worry and do little anti-rain dances in my head. This year has been so rainy and for the most part, we've been dodging rain clouds all spring. Catherine and Mike were lucky enough to have the rain work itself into their timeline by waiting until they were inside for their reception. Phew! And so, because it was nice, even overcast light for their wedding, it made for lovely photos. This couple was married in the morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Alexandria and then we headed over to Lee Street in Alexandria to make some quiet photos of the B&G. The reception, held at the Hilton . Their DJ, Aaron Couch, rocked them out for their late-lunch reception and I have to tell you that that does not happen often. Congrats to Catherine and Mike.

Gary & Debbie - We are very pleased. Mike told us you were great. (2009-05-27 19:29:15)
Taylor Duffy - These are honestly the most incredible wedding photos I have ever seen! Each one is more beautiful than the last and they all look like they must be from a fantastic editorial in Vogue or Town & Country! It's so exciting when I remember that it actually happened, and that I was lucky enough to be there! I can't possibly describe how perfectly these capture what an amazing, fun, and wonderful day it was, and I am just blown away by how spectacular these photos are! (2009-05-27 20:09:47)

(The Prelude) Your photos capture so many "spots of time" that you must just be feasting! And you shall for decades to come. Congratulations! (2009-05-28 14:28:53)
Uncle Paul - The pictures are wonderful. The silhouette pictures would be my favorite. They would even s`core above the shots of my grandkids but for the yawning altar boy. I also love this website. So often you only get thumbnails and can't get the full impact of the pictue. Great work. (2009-05-28 17:17:37)

Anna and Denis at Dumbarton Manor

Jennifer Domenick

Anna and Denis had a classic Georgetown wedding on April 25th with the help of Katie Martin and her staff of Elegance and Simplicity. The couple was married in the charming historic Epiphany Parish, which was only blocks from Dumbarton House, where guests were greeted with raspberry mojitos from Design Cuisine. Congrats to the fabulous couple!

Libbet and Scott: An Elegant Wedding in Downtown DC

Jennifer Domenick Wedding Photography

OK, so this post is WAAY overdue! This is my last official wedding of the year (except New Year's Eve) and I guess I had a hard time letting go. This was an awesome wedding that was put together by Pam Barefoot of ATrendy Wedding. Pam worked with Libbet to create a warm and cozy reception at Meridian House.

The ceremony, at a church near American University, had unusual and beautiful light. It made for some very interesting photos. Also, access was pretty good at this church because it had a stairway off of the side that I was allowed to go on.

Stephen Bobb worked as a 2nd for me for this wedding. It was great to have him along as it's been over two years since he got too good to be a 2nd and went on to shoot on his own for us. He really is too good to be a 2nd. He's an amazing photographer and I am really glad we have been able to work together all this time.

My best to Libbet and Scott!

The Wliiard is where Libbet got ready:

This necklace is AMAZING!

Libbet and her mom warned me that this was coming:

Jenny and Nate, A Meridan House Wedding

It was my first time at Meridian House in DC and what a fabulous wedding with perfect weather to introduce me to the site!

She and her dad danced down the aisle:

Nate and Jenny are the first couple I have seen that boogied for their first dance. It really set the tone for the rest of the night:

The return of the Joslyns: Kate and Brian at the Park Hyatt

I have to say that I am so bummed that the Joslyn weddings are finished. It was so fun to get to know this family and help them celebrate TWO wedding within a two months at two fabulous place. Kate was married on Saturday at Dahlgren Chapel on Georgetown's campus with a modern, fabulous reception to follow at the Park Hyatt on M Street in DC. In true Joslyn form, the reception was fabulous with amazing flowers and fantastic lighting by Frost. Thanks so much to the Joslyn family for EVERYTHING. Enjoy!

A really pretty setting for a first sighting. Also, the fabulousness of having two photographers:

A classic case of the giggles during the ceremony:

A photographer gets married: Kevin and Ioana in DC

Yes, it is completely intimidating to photograph another photographer's wedding. It's also a great honor that Kevin and Ioana chose me for their wedding. Kevin works for UPI, a wire service that supplies news and human interest photos to various publications. He's a fabulous photographer and has helped me with a few weddings. Ioana is also an artist and did all the graphic design for the invites and reply cards for her wedding and is now in the midst of creating a company to offer this to other couples getting married. Check out her website, NjoiDesigns.  Congratulations Kevin and ioana!

Kevin and his friends (some from preschool days) have a thing about jeeps.

Ioana 's family is from Romania and she loved the idea of having this photo:

Ashley and Phil: A Washington DC Wedding

Ashley and Phil love DC, but they live in Colorado. So when Ashley decided to do their wedding here, it was like planning a destination wedding. But she had help from her amazing bridesmaid and from fabulous planner Pam Barefoot. The timeline was put together perfectly to include a trip to the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial AND the Capitol Building! Well, I'll just let the photos speak for themselves:
