Sarah and Colin at the W Hotel in DC

When Colin saw Sarah for the first time, which was before the ceremony to get pictures done, his exact words were: "That is a great f###ing dress." I couldn't agree more. She looked amazing.

Jennifer Domenick

Sarah was described by her maid of honor as being very "trendy," and so having a wedidng at the W Hotel in DC  was an ideal setting for Sarah and Colin's chic, stylish wedding. Guests were treated to a rooftop cocktail hour, overlooking the White House and Washington Monument. Check it out:

Liz and Brian at the City Club at Franklin Square

Jennifer Domenick

Liz and Brian's evening wedding was held at the City Club at Franklin Square and was well attended by all her family and friends, even though the couple is from New York City.

Usually, there is some part of the day that is shot during daylight, bt this is the first wedding after daylight savings is in effect, so my start time was slightly before dusk. So, all of the couple portraits were done outside using the available light. It's a challenge, but I am happy with the results. I'm not a big fan of flash- I just have always loved the feel of available light. To me, it is just has more feeling in it- comes from my photojournalism background, I suppose.

Here are some of the vendors that Liz chose to work with:

Wedding Planner and Florist: Elegance and Simplicity, Tara Davis

Cakes and Cupcakes: Kendall's Cakes

DJ: Disc Jockeys on Call, Aaron Couch

Hair and Make-up: Andre Chreky Salon

Dress: Cymbeline

Congrats to Liz and Brian and hav a great honeymoon!

I just love the city at dusk, so much energy and everyone rushing around to be somewhere important:

Leslie and Kevin: A Quaker Wedding in Philadelphia

Quaker Wedding Photo

This wedding was special for me for so many reasons. I have known Leslie and her family since Leslie was just a little girl and her parents have been friends of my family for just as long. So, when she was engaged, she called to book me right on the spot. I had not seen Leslie in years and so it was such an honor and a great experience to be there to document her big day. Leslie had a Quaker wedding on the grounds of one of the most amazing wedding sites I have ever seen, Greystone Hall. Her ceremony was filled with personal messages from friends and family and was very touching. Congratulations Leslie and Kevin and best of luck!

All the guests at a Quaker Wedding sign the wedding certificate as witnesses to the marriage. So, every guest at a Quaker wedding actually marries the couples.

Kevin's groomsmen pulled out some old photos of Kevin:

These are my parents!:

Megan and Hashim: A mixture of cultures at the Mandarin Oriental

Jennifer Domenick

Megan and Hashim had the most amazing multicultural wedding that was co-ordinated with the help of Sara Muchnick of Engaging Affairs. The colors and the setting were ideal to bring together such beautiful and ornate clothing and culture. Congrats the Megan and Hashim and enjoy the photos:

Megan's family is from Nebraska, where they own and run a wheat farm. The wheat in this bouquet is from the farm and the bouquet and all the flowers were done by Petal's Edge.

Megan wore two outfits, a Western white gown and a sari

I just loved the name of her perfume. Usually, I shoot a photo of the bride putting the perfume on, but this seemed to work a bit better:

Just before seeing Hashim for the first time:

We did some quick family photos before Megan had to scoot back to the room to change into the sari:

Bridemaids help with the dressing:

Then some photos with the Indian outfits:

The light in the pre-ceremony room was a challenge, but that's sometimes a good thing:

After the ceremony, the couple had their first dance in an amazing ballroom:

Their first dance was one of my favorite moments of the day. They were finally able to relax and enjoy the moment a bit:

There was a prayer room set up down the hall from the reception:

Ryann and Eric: A Virginia wedding at Woodlawn

Jennifer Domenick

Ryann and Eric don't get to spend a lot of time together. They are often traveling for their jobs and find themselves all over the world, so when they were married last week at Woodlawn with all their friends and family in attendance, it was a lovely moment for them. Congrats to them!

Holly and Bruce in Baltimore

Jennifer Domenick Wedding Photography

Holly and Bruce escaped the rain, but the crowds at Mt. Vernon Square in Baltimore were not kept away. They had fun, though walking through the crowd. Their lovely wedding was held at Chase Court, which is one of Baltimore's classic wedding locations. They had a perfect day for their wedding, which had splashes of vintage items thrown into the mix. Enjoy!

Anna and Denis at Dumbarton Manor

Jennifer Domenick

Anna and Denis had a classic Georgetown wedding on April 25th with the help of Katie Martin and her staff of Elegance and Simplicity. The couple was married in the charming historic Epiphany Parish, which was only blocks from Dumbarton House, where guests were greeted with raspberry mojitos from Design Cuisine. Congrats to the fabulous couple!
